I have been rollerblading for a couple of seasons and have tried a variety of blades during that time. If you are looking for a new pair of boots, I highly recommend the K2 Moto Mens inline skates. I have been out on my new pair about 15 times this season so far and they are excellent.
I personally skate on the 84/80mm wheels, but they also come in a 90mm version. The most important attribute for me is their speed. The skating is more effortless with less friction than other blades I have tried.
The boot has the legendary K2 comfort and provides good ankle support. They are also very quick to lace with a quick lace system, which is a nice addition. When you buy, try to size a snug fit because they will expand a bit overtime as you skate.
For Women, K2's comparable boot is the K2 Celena 08. Obviously, I have not tried those but given the success of the Moto for Men, I would expect these to be excellent also.

Appreciate your review of your new pair of Moto's. I'm also in the market for a new pair of rollerblades to replace my (very) heavy CCM's and am leaning more towards K2 over Rollerblades. However, I came across several articles that mentioned how "fragile" the quick lace system of the K2's are. I would hate for it to, all of a sudden, snap because I pulled too hard (something that rarely happens with the regular shoelace system). Can you attest to this?

how is the quick lace system? I read that they can easily snap if pulled to hard? What do you think of it so far?
Hey Tim,
Sorry for the delay in responding but I was traveling for he holidays.
I have not had any problem with the quick lace system. I certainly don't think it is fragile. You still have to tie them and I sometimes tighten the lower laces but you really don't have too. I think the laces they use are more durable that typical laces which offsets the potential for them to be fragile.
I am still loving the boots. And they are very very fast.
